The Wireless Emergency Telephone Safety Act recently amended by PA 95-0698 designates the Illinois Commerce Commission (ICC) as the agency to administer the collection and distribution of fees collected by wireless carriers for the purpose of funding emergency access to wireless 911 services. The rate is 73 cents as of January 1, 2008.
