What are the three parts of a case number?
A case number is comprised of three parts: industry, year, and sequence. The industry part is "P" or "T". "P" is for public utility such as electricity or natural gas. "T" is is for transportation such as motor carriers or railroads. The year part is the last two digits of the year starting with 2000. The sequence part is a number assigned sequentially to each case. To select a case, you must select all three.
What is the difference between "Docketed" and "Non-Docketed" matters?
A "Docketed" matter is a formal Commission proceeding that has been assigned a the case number. A "Non-Docketed" matter is any matter other than a formal Commission proceeding. A "Non-Docketed" matter is not assigned a case number.
How do I save a copy of my comment before I am finished?
You may be save a copy of your comment
before
you are finished by using the browser's cut and paste feature. Position the cursor over the comment then right click. A menu will appear. Form the menu choose "Select All" to highlight all the text of the comment. Next, place the cursor over the highlighted comment, right click again. A menu will appear. From the menu, choose "Copy". The text of the comment is now saved to the clipboard. You may paste the comment into any text editor and save it to a file.
