I live in a small, 4-unit apartment building, and I am not home all day. The only gas that is coming into my apartment is for my stove, and I don't have pilot lights burning in the stove all day - it is a pilot-less system. And, I cook only about once per quarter. I have steam heat, so I don't use gas for heat. I don't know where this gas consumption is coming from that I am being charged for.

With the rate hikes my gas bill is now twice as high as it was a couple of years ago. Utility hikes are increasing and my paycheck is not. Continued ILL rate hikes in utilities are one of the reasons that I plan on moving out of state as soon as possible.

Please curtail People's Gas rate hikes so that average citizens can life an affordable life.

    Thank you.
