As a joint owner of a vacant lot at Apple Canyon Lake, I feel it is unfair to have a water service increase. This property has no building on it. We have been paying for water since approximately 1970. We are not using any water. I feel there should be a freeze for property owners who do not have a building on their lot.
Thank you,
Diana D. Sabo

I am contacting you in regards to the ACUC (case #12-0603) proposed water rate increase. The requested increase is near 30% for water usage AND 30% as a facility charge. I have been told that the Apple Canyon Lake Property Owners Association has been in contact with the ICC in order to voice their displeasure in this rather steep request from ACUC. (Utilities, Inc.) Also, I have been told that there is an outstanding request from early in the year of 2012 for a rate increase. if that is true, that would make for TWO rate increase requests within 14 months?
I recognize that operating expenses rise along with miscellaneous charges; but, I do believe that this is a rather steep request. And I hereby voice my concern that I question the need as stated in the letter sent to me by Utilities Inc.
I trust that you will do all that you can to determine if these two requests are indeed needed.
Thank you for reading this.
