Members of the public are afforded time, subject to reasonable constraints, to address the Illinois
Commerce Commission at meetings that are open to the public (220 ILCS 5/2-107;
see the Commission rule [2 Ill. Adm. Code 1700.10]
).
Any member of the public wishing to address the Commission must submit a written request to the
Chief Clerk of the Commission at least 24 hours prior to the Commission meeting at which the person wishes
to speak. The request must contain at least the following information: the person's name and address, the
name of any group represented, and a summary of the presentation.
Persons wishing to submit a request to address the Commission may, but are not required to, use the attached
Public Participation Request Form.
